Up for sale is a pre-ban PWA Commando AR15, featuring a classic 20" barrel and a highly sought-after PWA lower receiver. This rifle is an excellent example of early AR production, with all the functionality and flexibility you’d expect from a true pre-ban piece.

The rifle's furniture shows some honest wear from handling over the years, adding character without affecting performance. Internally, everything looks to be in great shape—no signs of significant wear, with all components functioning as they should. The pre-ban PWA lower does not have a sear block, allowing you the freedom to install just about any standard AR trigger configuration you have in mind.

Aesthetically, the receiver is finished in a deep black, which is much more likely to match modern AR builds compared to the gray matted finish found on most factory Colt receivers from this era. This makes it a great candidate for your next retro build or as a foundation for a fully customized rifle.

This firearm was lawfully possessed in Massachusetts when H4885 was enacted, making it compliant for transfer within the state.

Whether you’re a collector, builder, or looking for a reliable pre-ban lower, this PWA Commando checks all the boxes. If you have any questions about this AR, don’t hesitate to reach out!
