2. Online Security: We employ industry-standard encryption and security measures on our website to protect your personal information during online transactions. However, Bay State Surplus cannot be held responsible for any unauthorized access or data breaches beyond our control.

3. Firearms Background Checks: Customers must pass a background check conducted by the appropriate authorities before taking possession of a firearm. Bay State Surplus follows all federal, state, and local laws pertaining to firearm transactions and background checks.

At Bay State Surplus, our customers are our top priority. We strive to provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience. Please review the following guidelines regarding customer care:

1. Payment Options:

 

We accept the following payment methods:
   - Cash
   - Money Order
   - Certified Cashier's Check
   - Credit/Debit Card (Discover, AMEX, Visa, Mastercard)

   Please note that credit card payments are subject to an additional 3.5% fee.

2. Payment for Firearms: Payment for firearms must be made in full before background checks are conducted. If a customer fails the background check and is deemed ineligible to possess the firearm, a refund will be issued, subject to a 5% fee deducted from the original paid price.

3. Returns and Refunds: We strive to provide accurate product descriptions and images to help customers make informed purchases. However, if for any reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please contact our customer service within 14 days of receiving the item to initiate the return process. Refunds will be issued in the original payment method, excluding shipping fees, and subject to any applicable restocking fees.

4. Firearms Safety and Training: It is the responsibility of every firearm owner to ensure safe handling, storage, and usage of their firearms. Bay State Surplus strongly encourages customers to participate in appropriate firearms safety training programs.

5. Storage Fee: At Bay State Surplus we strive to provide efficient and reliable services to our valued customers. As part of our commitment to maintaining a streamlined workflow within our premises, we have implemented the following policy regarding firearms left in our shop for an extended period. 

A. Storage Fee:
If any firearm is left in our store for a duration exceeding two weeks, a storage fee of $15 per week will be applicable. This fee is intended to cover the costs associated with securing and maintaining the firearm during the extended storage period.

B. Exceptions:
The storage fee mentioned above does not apply in cases where the firearm was already planned to be in our possession for more than two weeks for services such as gunsmithing or custom modifications.

C. Notification:
Customers will be informed in writing of the impending storage fee when the firearm remains in our shop beyond the initial two-week period. We will provide a courtesy reminder to ensure transparency and give sufficient notice before implementing any charges.

D. Billing:
Storage fees will be accumulated and due upon the customer's retrieval of the firearm. All storage fees must be settled before the firearm is released.
