After receiving the $45 transfer fee, we will begin the process of transferring the firearm, this includes contacting the other parties involved in the transfer and ensuring that the firearm meets the compliance standards of all state the firearm is being transferred to.
Step 3: Complete Background Check & Take Possession of your Firearm.
The buyer will then need to pass the necessary background checks and pay the transfer fee before taking possession of the firearm.
Our cost for transfers
Bay State Surplus is pleased to offer FFL firearm transfers for a flat fee of $45. However, in order to proceed with the transfer, we need the necessary documentation. This includes a valid copy of the transferring FFL's license, as well as a copy of the purchasing party's valid ID, such as a driver's license or passport. We also need a copy of the firearm's serial number and a copy of the invoice or receipt. Once we have all of the required documents, we can proceed with the transfer.
